The free website
Why is the website free? What’s the catch? +

The catch is that we only make money if you stay, and you only stay if the phone keeps ringing. Charging five thousand up front means we get paid whether it worked or not. Giving you the site and billing every four weeks puts us on the hook.

The other half of the catch: we build and host it, so we keep the design and the code. You keep the domain, the content, your customer list, and your Google profile. If you leave, you take those with you and the site goes dark. Nobody holds anything hostage.

So it's genuinely free and it stays free. It's not financed and it's not being paid off inside the fee. The paid part is the plan: $997 to start, then $597 every 4 weeks, 364 days / 13 payments.

What am I actually paying for every four weeks, then? +

The work that produces customers. Your Google Business Profile, review requests going out automatically, new pages for the towns you serve, and keeping everything running, secure, and fast.

The website is the thing you can see, so it gets the attention. It’s maybe a fifth of the work.

Do I own the website? +

You own your domain, your content, your images, your customer data, and your Google Business Profile. We own the design, the code, and the hosting setup, because we gave you the build at no charge.

If you cancel, we export your content and your customer data to you within ten business days at no charge, and we release your domain immediately. The site itself goes offline.

What if I already have a website? +

Then the problem is usually not the website, it’s that nobody finds it. Most sites we look at are perfectly fine to look at and invisible to Google.

We’ll replace it as part of the setup, or in some cases leave it alone and work on the visibility side only. The free audit will tell you which.

Money
How much does it cost? +

$597 every 4 weeks, one price with everything in it, plus a $333 setup charge on each of your first three bills. No lump sum up front. That's the whole price. No hosting bill, no hidden domain markup, no surprise line items.

The commitment is 364 days, thirteen billing cycles. After that it continues on a rolling basis until you cancel with thirty days' notice.

Why every four weeks instead of monthly? +

Because the work runs in four-week cycles: the report, the posts, the new pages. Billing on the same cycle keeps the work and the invoice lined up. A calendar month drifts against the work.

Practically: thirteen billing cycles a year instead of twelve. We say so plainly rather than burying it.

Is there a discount for paying up front? +

Pay the full 364 days in advance and you get thirteen billing cycles for the price of eleven. You also get a full site refresh free at the 364-day mark.

What happens if I cancel? +

During the 364 days you owe the remaining billing cycles of the term, unless we've broken our end of the agreement. After that it's thirty days' notice and you're done.

Either way your domain, content, and customer data come with you. There’s a whole page about this — it’s linked in the footer.

Results
Can you guarantee I’ll rank number one on Google? +

No, and anybody who does is lying to you. Google decides rankings using factors nobody outside Google controls, including how physically close you’re to the person searching.

What we guarantee is the work and the reporting — and that if your review count and profile views haven’t both gone up after ninety days, we keep working at no charge until they do.

How long before I see something? +

The Google profile work usually moves first, often within two to four weeks, because it’s the fastest-acting piece. Reviews start arriving as soon as the automation switches on.

Ranking for competitive searches in new towns is slower — think three to six months of consistent page building. Anyone promising faster than that on the organic side is guessing.

How do I know it’s working? +

You get one page every four weeks, by email, written in sentences. How many people found you on Google, how many called, how many asked for directions, how many visited the site, new reviews, and what people searched to find you.

Every number is shown against the 4 weeks before it, so you can see the direction. If something is going the wrong way, we say so in the same email and say what we’re doing about it.

What if it doesn’t work for my business? +

Then you shouldn’t keep paying us, and we’ll tell you that before you’ve to figure it out yourself. We’d rather lose a client than have somebody paying every four weeks for something that isn’t landing.

Working together
How much work is this for me? +

One phone call of about forty-five minutes, a folder of photos off your phone, two minutes to give us manager access to your Google listing, and about twenty minutes reviewing the site before it goes live.

That’s the complete list. You don’t write any copy and you don’t learn any software.

How do I ask for a change? +

You text 401-227-5020. That’s the entire system. No dashboard, no login, no ticket number.

Hours, closures, phone numbers, and emergency notices are done within 24 hours on every plan and never count against anything.

Do I’ve to be on Google already? +

No. If you’ve no Google Business Profile we create and verify one. If you’ve one you’ve never touched, we take it over as a manager while you stay the owner.

What if I want to make changes myself? +

You can change your hours or reply to a review in Google whenever you like — you’re the owner of that profile and we never lock you out. Change your hours there and your website updates itself.

For the website itself, you text us. Most owners find that faster than logging into something they use twice a year.

The company
Who is Rhody Websites? +

A line of business of Own The Box Marketing LLC, a Rhode Island company. Websites are one of three things we do — the others are Rhody Reviews for review management and the Rhody Showcase for direct mail.

All three exist to do the same thing: get local businesses more customers.

Do you only work with Rhode Island businesses? +

Right now, yes. We’re based in North Kingstown and every town in the state is inside an hour, which means we can meet you at your shop if you’d rather do that than a call.

The plan is to expand beyond Rhode Island once we’ve the reviews and results to back it up.

What kinds of businesses do you work with? +

Anyone local whose customers find them by searching. Roofers, plumbers, electricians, and landscapers, but equally dentists, orthodontists, chiropractors, salons, florists, bakeries, cleaners, and realtors.

If somebody in your town searches for what you do and picks from the first three results, this applies to you.

Can I see examples of your work? +

Not yet, and we’d rather say that than show you somebody else’s work. This is a new line of business.

That’s why the first three clients get everything free in exchange for a video testimonial when it works. If you want to be one of them, call.

Build note Every question on this page ships with FAQPage JSON-LD. That’s what makes these answers eligible to be quoted directly in Google and pulled into AI answers when somebody asks a chatbot who builds websites in Rhode Island. The schema block is in the Site Blueprint.
